Hi All

After 12 months without a K, I've had to return to the fold.

Probably should never have left, but I felt the need to experiment  :riding:

I should pick up my 85 K100RT in a couple of weeks once my R100RT has gone via fleebay

Looking forward to the chat on here

Me too,I ride a K100RS16v,I weigh about 180lb:sort of sporty looking? My best friend weighs in about 330lb & rides a K1100LT with a fairing like a barn door,unfortunately thanks to his riding talent and determined attitude he leaves me far behind in the twisties.Very humbling but there again I have never found life to be fair or simple  :eek:

And I love my barn door fairing, its not always hot and sunny here in Rainy North West! Thats why I bought an 1100LT....
And must say, after getting used to riding it, I don't find it top heavy..or heavy at all for that matter: as long as the fuel tank isn't full, the weight is pretty low down with a Brick engine, and its easy to throw around  :yow
I'm 12 stone and 5'10", 51 years old and find it easy to ride fast!

The RT will be my 2 up tool and touring distance mount. As an ex courier I know the benefits of a barn door only too well

If I want to cut loose I have my Daytona 900 for that  :yes

As an ex-despatch rider myself, I know what you mean! My CX500 with the usual Rickman full fairing was pretty good, but the LT is light years better! And when I want to ride another bike, I jump on my 1976 XS650, proper wind in yer face ride!

I did a couple of years around Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield...some good roads around them places  :2thumbup:

Just to add: I think after riding all sorts of bikes in all sorts of weather, we ex-despatch riders have learned to appreciate the good things in biking....and staying warm and dry is a deeply inbuilt factor in what we ride nowadays!   :2thumbup:

Welcome to the forum!  Just returned from Manchester on business yesterday and plan to go back there on holiday...to hopefully rent a motobrick whilst there!  Last week was apparently a fluke in weather conditions as it was mostly sunny and pleasant all week!

Its still very warm, officially its now Autumn....someone tell the sunshine!  :clap:
still walking around in T shirts, plants growing well, people still cutting their lawns: very welcome, but I guess this is the real start of Global Warming?
We will no doubt have flooding and the like very soon..... :yow
