Headlight relay recommendation

Eastern Beaver has multiple options for headlight relay. My K75s are the naked kind with the round headlight can. I'm not sure whether I need the H4 Single ‘In Shell’ Kit or the H4 Single Headlight Weatherproof Relay Kit -- it says the Weatherproof kit is for bikes with 'tight fitting headlight housing cover. Also, this Kit is for bikes with a very small headlight shell. ' I don't know if the K75 round can is small compared to others. Can anyone confirm that the regular 'in shell' kit is the one I want?

Also -- whether the lo cut switch is something anyone else found to be useful -- since you have to buy it along with the relay or forever be without (apparently it can't be retrofitted with the single H4 kit).

Any other tips on installing this bad boy would be appreciated...i.e. posi-lock or solder. If anyone has made any stupid mistakes feel free to tell me about them so I can make them anyway.

i have the eb h4 single in fairing kit one 1 moto... and a home made kit on another using a ceramic h4 socket standard china relays and 14 ga wire from the hardware store...

i put the relays under the tank... let the oem socket hang behind the new eb h4 socket... this way if the eb were to fail you still have your oem you can plug in there... easy clean install... 100% yeeeehaaaaa...

my headlight is twice as bright using this relay kit... the oem wiring and switches really chokes down the juice the the headlight... this relay kit opens the flood gate...

Eastern Beaver would be my first choice.  If you're cheap, get a cheap H4 ceramic connector harness of flea bay for a car and just use half.  Cut and tape the extra connector off and you'll have to extend the power wire but thats about it.

I ordered the EB h4 in-shell kit today...will try the DIY method on the other bike once I see the EB in action. After looking the pics, it shouldn't be too hard to convert the EB in-shell to under the tank if I choose to do that later.

Very stoked about this -- stock K75 headlight output sucks butt.

Got a note from EB -- the standard in-shell kit does fit the unfaired K75-K100 with the round headlight can.

Thought I'd update this for anyone installing an in-shell headlight relay from Eastern Beaver or elsewhere on a K75 standard or any K bike with the round headlight can.

Unless you do the permanent install you will have to run the new relay wiring out of the headlight can. The existing grommet only will accommodate the OEM wiring. You can create a new grommet that will accommodate both the new and the old wiring using rubber leg tips from any big box store for under 3 dollars and about 5 minutes.




Drill a hole in the top then of the new 'grommet' to expand the hole with exacto knife till big enough to accommodate both old and new wires. Slice it from top to bottom and fit the wiring into the middle. Stuff the new grommet into the hole so it is snug. Mark the line where edge the of the hole meets the grommet. Remove the grommet from the hole and cut a groove along that line so the edge of the hole fits within the groove. Lay the wiring back in the grommet, stuff it back in the hole so the edge of the hole rests in the groove. Touch up with silicone sealant -- grommet should work just as well as the OEM one.
