Tire Deal 140/70V-17

Just scored from Motorcycle Superstore  a mis-Price on an  Avon AM26 Roadrider REAR Tire 140/70v-17  $11.87 Shipping included.  Price is good till they fix it.
Yes, I realize the height is a 70 not an 90.  So the rear will sit a little lower and the speedo will be a few more mph off.  That's what GPS is for.

Watch closely, after you have used them for a couple of months. It have been several reports on a forum on this side of the pond, that start to crack in the threads and sidewall after a rather short time use.
Don't know if it only was a single batch, tho.............this was mostly last year.

I'll keep an eye on it.  If it fails, I paid less than $12.00  so if it lasted a year would be a pretty good deal.  Or,I'll hope it does so under warranty.  I've still got a decent ME88 that I'm not fond of, but it will allow me to continue riding uninterrupted if the cracks appear.

I see this by morning they fixed it.  Now I'll find out if I actually get the tire or a cancellation notice.

I'll take the savings and buy a used extra rear wheel.

Got my shipping notice this morning,  Already picked up a 3 x 17" 3 spoke rear that the 140 will get mounted on.
