How bout posting a brick pic on your profile image? And I'd be curious to know what you paid for such a prime specimen and what options I.e. cases and fairing it came with.

I guess I could replace the taillight on mine to make it all white and pristine but one glance at the rest of the bike would cause any potential buyer a laughing fit.

My tai light inner is almost brown, and there's next to no paint on the footrest hangers.....does this mean my 94000 is genuine?  :riding:

Thanks guys, I believe it's is, actually 14,915 now, again, all the seals look great between the engine and trans, it's a real clean bike, I think the guy I got it from who was the second owner, I did a title search, he bought it in 2010 and only other was titled 1994 from the dealer. Anyway he put it on its side I"M SURE AS MY CASE HAS SOME SCRATCHES ON IT, MAKES ME MAD!!! other than that she's beautiful and rides great! I love this bike and it's my first street bike ever so I'm very pleased. I've heard nothing but great things about these bikes. Thanks for the input!

The side cases will take the hit even if you drop the bike from a stop. If you lay it down at any speed they'll get trashed not scratched. Mine have cracks, road burns and inside repairs with two part epoxy and fiberglass tape from encounters with cages. If you're worried about your cases, take them off unless you're packing groceries.

Having said that, I'm amazed at how they held up structurally in a fall. I wonder how much of that damage would have been to my leg if they hadn't been there.

You can take the lids and have them shot with Line-X and you won't see the scratches anymore.
You can't help someone who doesn't want to hear the answer.

Nah -- maybe someday I'll worry about it but for now I did some Back to Black and they're fine. Battle scars. :riding:
