Gear indicator LCD
« on: June 03, 2011, 06:52:58 PM »
I was trying to fix my K75's clock. Seems I got about half the LCD segments working, mostly on the minutes side...  :-\

Anyhow, while I was at it I thought I'd have a look at the gear shift indicator, where 2 or 3 segments have failed lately. When I disassembled it, the LCD insert fell out. Question is, which way do I put it back in? Seems to be absolutely no markings or anything to go by. Any ideas? Will the LCD break if I put it in the wrong way (and later switch it)?

I went by trial and (no) error, no problems :)

I got my clock working too, to my surprise the problem turned out to be the power connector to the clock module. Pictures etc. here: http://frodef.wordpress.com/2011/06/04/k75-clock-repair/.
