1993 K1100RS
« on: April 22, 2014, 05:30:25 PM »
I am seriously considering purchasing a 1993 K1100RS with about 67k.  It is a single owner bike that sounds like it has been well maintained, though I am not sure about regular spline lubes.  the bike is about 1800 miles away, so it will be a fly and ride deal.  I ride a K75 and really don't know shit about the paralever bikes.   Anything I should be concerned with?

Hey JO,   I am thinking the same.  My brother lives 5 hours from the seller.  Thought I would ride it there, change all the fluids.  Then 17 hour ride home!!   :yes

Well I know what one you are coming after but did you see this one that's 3yearscnewer with half the miles for the same starting price?

Hey Grim..No i didn't see that one and that is a cool color.  My brother lives in NC and is going to check it out for me.  If this deal blows up, I will try to snag that one!!

I will warn you that bike had been posted as a not running bike a few weeks ago. The ad said it had been parked for a while it would fire off and die. Seller had a frustrated tone with not knowing what was up and no dealer in the area to look at it. I was going to make and offer and go after it then but they pulled the ad when they got it to somebody to get it sorted out.

It's now running bike and the price seems fair if it's in as good of shape as it appears in the pictures but I'd check date codes on tires ect.
