I'm sorting out the issues on the '94 K1100RS I picked up from an estate sale last week. The PO died a couple of years ago and the bike has been in a secure storage since then. His brother, a non BMW rider, has told me that the PO had installed some kind of security switch or lock out. Today I installed a new battery, and with the ignition switch on I have green neutral light, kick stand is up, sounds like the fuel pump is activating, all lights work, but no joy from the starter. I'll double check the starter relay and side stand switch to insure they are good, but my question is to know if anyone is familiar with a method to disable the ignition/starter for anti-theft? An look under the fairing and tank does not reveal anything out of the normal.
