Northern Ireland Newbie
« on: January 26, 2014, 10:29:12 AM »
Hi Guys. I've been lurking on here for the last few weeks as I've recently become the proud owner of a 1996 K1100 LT SE. They don't come up much on the market in NI so when I got the opportunity for one I jumped at it. Since picking her up 3 weeks ago I've put about 400 miles on the clock and I couldn't be happier. I have a small issue with ABS but I'll stick that into the appropriate spot in the forums. Any other NI owners be sure and say hi - cheers, Al

Hi Al and welcome,
You're not alone in NI! I'm in Bangor. I know what you mean about the beemer market in NI. I got mine a few years ago by the purest chance when a mate of mine overheard someone say they were reluctantly selling their beloved K75 - the rest is history.
The local BMW owners club seems pretty active but I've not joined due to my work shifts but maybe this year.
The information and help you get from this site is incredible - just look up any issue and someone will have had it.
Good luck. Keep 'er lit.

Thanks Andy, I'm in Enniskillen. Anytime you're heading west be sure and let me know. I think there's a bike show on at the Kings Hall next weekend that I might try and get up for but other than that I'm rarely in Belfast. I'm not a fan of cities!! :-)

Hi Al,
Working that weekend of Kings Hall show so I'll not be there but I'm sure we'll meet up some day. Likewise if you're heading to Bangor let me know. Our Sunday run out doesn't normally stretch as far as Enniskillen! The BMW club meets I think near Antrim so that could be tricky for you too. Keep in touch,
Andy
