Where to buy Staburgas NBU 30 PTM
« on: January 13, 2014, 11:59:59 AM »
BMW dealers no longer import fluids so I was told.  I had a heck of a time locating this material recommended for the the transmission spline lube

Staburags NBU 30 PTM
part code 017069-221 50 gram tube
Cost $38.78 plus shipping

You can purchase from the following

Customer Service at 800.447.2238  or email orders@us.kluber.com

I had no luck locating on the www.klubershop.com even though it is supposed to be there.

These folks were very helpful.

I am not associated with them at all.

I know it is on fleabay but I prefer getting from source and ensuring it is the actual product.

Have you heard of GD-570 Moly Paste? http://www.guarddogmoly.com/gd570.shtml
I find it superior to Staburags, as I've used both. A 2oz. container will last you close to forever, too.

The other 2% made it home.

I was not aware you could use it on the transmission input spline.

Thanks for the info.

Staburags NBU 30 PTM is terrible stuff and should be avoided at all costs.  Unless you want a lube that dries up and causes splines to wear.
Honda Moly 60 lube is a better choice.  Even better is Guard Dog Moly Paste.
You can't help someone who doesn't want to hear the answer.

Beemer boneyard has Guard dog at a reasonable price. I got a 6-pack of bosch oil filters and some GD from BB for $70 or so and used the GD for clutch spline and final drive -- now shifting is smooth as silk. I don't thing Honda Moly 60 is recommended for clutch splines, go with the GD from BB...
