Throttle kink?

I'm wondering if I should change my throttle cable or this is normal on a 1992 K75S.

The throttle kinda sticks around 50%, it feels like the cable is grabbing, or rubbing. It's making it hard to have super smooth throttle control.

I already cleaned and greased tho throttle housing and such.

Is it just about that time? (My guess is it has never been changed)

I just don't want to do it if it's something else.

I have the original cable on my 87 with 180k.  Did you try removing the grip from the handlebar and cleaning the insides of the grip and the outside of the handlebar?  I had a similar problem and the accumulated crud was binding the twist grip.

Also, check for the throttle lock screw. A K75S could have one.

A binding TPS switch can cause you some grief as well.....

Thanks all, she only has 28k on her so I think anything would just be from sitting around.

There is no throttle lock screw, and I feel like the TPS switch is pretty good (can I take that apart and clean it?)

I just read Frankenduck's PDF about cleaning the throttle housing and I never took the whole master cylinder off when I cleaned that, so I am going to redo that and clean that entire housing out and check the cable condition in there.

Mine stuck like yours when the plastic sleeve that wraps the throttle cable inside the cable housing had slipped out about an inch at the throttle body end. The sleeve was jamming in the cable channel thingy on the TB's.

I was able to slip the sleeve back in but I replaced the cable soon after just in case.
