F corner
« on: May 28, 2011, 09:26:25 AM »
AM greetings, one week since I aquired the F 650 GS. Overall impressions are excellent, other than the lack of saddlebags.

In search mode for a Ohlin or YSS aftermarket shock.

I must admit the older K bikes are "top heavy" in comparison.

Lots of spunk for a one lunger, read dual spark, plus fuel injection

The custom "badge madness" continues.

Nice.

If you'd gotten one of the early carb'd ones then you could use your K cases - but you probably knew that.

Like your cow badge.

I didn't know that beaver boy had stickers.  Gonna have to get me one.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

AM greetings, one week since I acquired the F 650 GS. Overall impressions are excellent, other than the lack of saddlebags.

Wunderbar day exploring Poe Valley vista's Friday afternoon, even included a water crossing.

My F whip is almost done farKling. 21 inch custom Dakar front wheel would be a NICE touch but EXPENSIVE.

Note the K 75 spark plug covers on the Jesse's, rear rack, read motobricK habits die hard.  :bmwsmile :bmwsmile

Have a GREAT memorial day holiday bricKheads, ride hard  _____  life's short.

Ah, the beautiful greenery of PA. I don't miss the humidity, tho. Sounds like fun times back there.

Welp, I went and got that '97 F650 on Santa Fe Craigslist fer $2k. It's been romped on by rowdy kids sure enuf, needs some massaging. But those Jesse Boxes sure sweetened th' deal. And I gotta say the thing is WICKED FUN off th' pavement, even with crapped out street tyres!  More  funner than my XT350, surprisingly.

I had bought it for the wife, but I dunno if she's gonna get it. :yes I'd have to put those Kouba Links on it to make it short enuf for her anyway.
