Please tell me I didnt ruin my tire
« on: September 20, 2013, 12:21:14 AM »
Well I finally ordered some hydrigraphic supplies, I got some Graphite Metallic base paint and carbon fiber film, I plan on covering everything black with it, as well as the chrome muffler and the wheels. I am repairing all the nicks/scratches and cracks in all the body parts and decided to go ahead and brake down my back tire to wet-sand the wheel, I have a manual tire machine, I broke the beads on my rear tire but when I did it left creases in the sidewall, did I just kill my tire or is that normal and will it just pop back out? :dunno

Depends if it crease is cosmetic or damaged the internal structure.  I wouldn't take chances with sidewall though.
If the tire is 5 or more years old I'd replace it as long as it's off.

Agree, try and seat the bead see what it looks like.
I can't see where you have done any permanent damage. Tires can be pretty resilient..
