Hi and new from Hamburg - but no pobs
« on: September 14, 2013, 11:28:28 AM »
maybe someone might know me from Flyingbrick.de or Bert´s Canadian K100RT froum

nevertheless
My Name is Olaf / located near Hambug /Ger.

bikes.
endless MZ´S solo / Sidecar (that´s why "zonenfeile" without beeing an "Ossi"
various 2V Boxer
K75/2 in the late 90`s
than another K75/2 from 2006 (first contact with flyingbrick.de )
now K1100/2  ABS2 / ex royal dutch guard LT - now with 16v wheels

conversion K1100LT -> K1100/2 to be seen https://picasaweb.google.com/105710098820172522025/BMWK1100UmbauAufK11002Optik

´cause flyingbrick.de ´s english part ist almost dead I´m looking for contacts abroad
think the K ist global and the varios forums should know from each other

found your page from a link in the K100RT forum
and... found some "my" pdf. files  even here
btw:  Pdf´s are my favorit

thx to the net -  all fu. manuals for our old bikes are avilable now

issuing the K75 / K100 manual in english was great fun
Started with my offer to the K100RT forum do buy the papermanual in english
the crowd collected the 50€ within 2 H
2 days later BMW Hamburg ( mrs Heilman) handed over the book
and 1 week later the file you know was ready to use

in the meantime we issued the new K-Wiki structure to collect all technical knowlage in flyingbrick.de
might have a look here   http://technik.flyingbrick.de/index.php?title=Hauptseite

ok - all german - but fyi
the K Manuals (incl english) are now open for download by the kind approval of BMW Munich
(nice guy there who´s responsible for that - previous K100 Hossack owner)

think it´s all for now
have to go to the garage - patient ist waiting with wrong air probs and incontinent gearbox (K100RS Style / black)

best regard / Olaf

best regards from Olaf

Welcome, I too have been at the FlyingBrick site, it was my 1st online connection with brick when I got mine in '05.
I also agree that the English part has really dropped off after the forum format change a few years ago. I really miss Pezi's teck site. He's either moved it, or it's hidden, or it's just plain gone. I haven't been able to find it, and my old links are dead.

I think you will really like this one here. There is a lot of knowledge, new, old, and in-between.......

dear Scott
the FB english site is not needed anymore
the knowledge is now spreaded all over the place

what we´ve seen in the last years is that the storage of knowledge (all org. BMW doc´s / various PDF´s) is almost everywhere chaos
to avoid that in future we made a cut and issued the K-Wiki strictly according to the BMW no system
that makes it easy for everyone
the have been thaughts about adding an english page - but who will translate ?

nevertheless - system is working - changes welcome

Pezi !
saw him last year in September in Nürnberg
He´s always working hard
sometimes he appears again suddenly  - great fun

the long & tall one
