i have a 95 RS and i recently installed a Corbin sport seat, my lady wants a back rest for it. the seat does not have the mounting bracket for the rest, so i am looking for both. i am also looking a top case, i have the OEM rack installed currently.

greetings oldfieldcycles...
im thinking the rs being lean forward... thats rider lean forward and passenger lean forward... im thinking your passenger will seldom lean against a backrest...

you are right, i never would use a backrest, but she says she would benefit from one. the corbin has a slot already for a backrest and looking at her on the bike and her seating position, i think that a backrest can be beneficial for her.

the corbin backrest may take up some the same space as a top box...
