Removing Ignition Lock Cylinder?
« on: June 02, 2013, 02:10:43 PM »
Is it possible?

I found how to remove the cylinders from the other locks in the "Leiberry," but not the ignition.

Yes, it's possible.
There is a "Lock-tight'd" allen type screw on the side of the upper tripple tree that I believe has to come out then there are 2 "one-time only" mounting screws from the top side that you have to drill out to get the mechanical portion of the switch assy out of the steering head.
After that I can't tell you how to get any further with the tumbler assy.

Here's a write up from IBMWR, this gives the instructions on removing the electrical "switch" off of the bottom of the mechanical mech.

Not sure it is what you are looking for or not.
