My tires are ready for a change. I'm planning a ride through utah from Los Angeles. Then may spend a year up in the mountains outside Fort Collins. I don't ride fast, and will try not to ride too heavy (or 1 up).

I read tire related forum threads all day yesterday. Am leaning towards trying a Michelin or a Continental (stock size).

Have not ridden much snow or rain in my SoCal days.

Think I'd go with one of the radials used on the GS type bikes as they are designed for on and off road use.  They might do better in light snow over regular street tires.  That said, if your planning on riding in a lot of snow I'd think about knobbys front and back.  Worked nice on my CL350 in the day
