Relocated rear master cylinder, good idea?
« on: April 20, 2013, 09:23:02 AM »
My 85 K100 has the master cylinder down low near the foot pegs. My 87 donor bike has it much further up near the seat. While I am redoing the brakes, should I switch to the higher location?
I used to think the brain was the most important part of the body. Then I realized who was telling me that.

It is just the fluid reservoir they move up under the seat.  Turns out when left in the sun the plastic gets brittle and cracks.  The actual master cylinder is in the same place.  I'd go ahead and move the reservoir.
