Which rattle can black paint is best?

Ive got some miscellaneous black parts that I want to repaint before I attach them. Things like footpeg brackets and spark plug covers. Have you found a particular brand to be a better match to factory? 

Bike is a 1985 K100 with 87K100 parts here and there.

I don't know about "best" that term is subject to interpretation......

I know of other k-brickers that have used hi-temp grade paint. Like what you would use on your bar-b-que grill, or exhaust headers on your hotrod.

Others may say "rustoleum" exterior.

If you have access, consider having them powder coated. Should last a whole lot longer that rattle can paint.

If I wanted chrome I would kept my GL1200 Goldcouch!

I'm sure Ill get them powdercoated when finances permit. For now I just want to conceal the scratches and rash on them.

I did my whole bike with Rustoleum Satin.  Good stuff, but like they say,  preparation is everything!

+1  rustoleum satin, most if not all high temp is gloss.  Fast drying works best.

But, guys if he wants to match existing, doesn't he want a gloss rather than a satin?  I know my frame is gloss.

I just recently repainted the majority of my frame and my forks with the Rustoleum Industrial Enamel I found at Home Depot. Went on nice and isn't super glossy. Can't say how it is for durability yet but I'm happy with the finish.

I used rust oleum satin black to touch up the engine bars. It was a near perfect match.

Thanks for the tips! Im going to grab two different ones and do a test run on a scrap piece.

I used flat black Duplicolor from Pep Boys on everything that's black on my LT (except the knee pads) and it's survived very well.

I figured the fork lowers would start to look bad quickly but they still look great after 3 years and about 20K miles.

The only place it's started to show wear is on the leading edge of the front fender and that's no big deal.

If PJ1 is still available, It comes in Matte, Semi-Gloss and Gloss and has worked well for the parts I have painted on my RD 350's...
