Prayers can be a powerful thing
« on: April 17, 2013, 05:28:14 PM »
My Dad has been a great Dad to me and has had a great life for his 84 years. This next Wednesday, April 24 he goes in for heart surgery and I just ask that anyone out there that believes in prayer, please say a quick one for my Dad as well as for his surgeon, come this next Wednesday. My Dad, (Bob) is an old timer with bikes, owning many. The ones I remember the best were a '47 Indian and a '48 Harley Springer. He was one tough, big guy, in his prime.

On a lighter note, both my Mom and Dad live up North of me, in Mt. Shasta, California, USA. Back in April 2010 I traveled up there to visit, as well as for a "ride-in appointment" custom built saddle from Russell Day-Long Saddle for my '85 K100RS. I love this seat they built for me. I also have a Corbin custom saddle "ride-in" built for my kawasaki Concours, starting some eleven years ago. This too has been a very, very nice seat. I've been torn on which saddle to put on my K1100LT. Since I am going up to be with my parents next week, (Russell is about 15 miles from my parents home) I am doing a "ride-in appointment" for a Day-Long saddle with Russell. I'll let everyone know how this seat works out. Thanks.   :2thumbup:

I'm a cynical bastard, Bill, so don't hate me for this: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/31/health/31pray.html

I do absolutely wish your father the best of luck!

I believe in good surgeons and I'll bet he's got a good one. My Dad had two quadruples but it was cancer that finally took him. Best wishes.

 Prayers sent.

Always  ALWAYS pray for the best.
I'd rather be riding.

When i was going thru a tough time my sister prayed for me. It worked. My life has turned 180 degrees. Yes , by all means pray  for your Dad. We all know who runs the show. Best wishes
