Play in Driveline
« on: March 15, 2013, 08:50:34 PM »
I had noticed a while back that there seemed to be excessive play in the driveline with the bike in 1st, I could move it fore and aft quite a bit but noticed a distinct clunking sound.  Well after finally dismantling the driveline, I found the culprit the clutch plate.  Rivets were about to split in two.  Anybody know if there are other vendors here in the states selling the Siebenrock clutch plates that Beemerboneyard sells?  I noticed they are sold out of the K1100 plates.

Motobins.co.uk has the clutch plate on sale, at least for the 2v K's. Cheaper in general though.

Thanks, Motobins pricing is the same as going through Siebenrock in Germany, I'll have to check out shipping costs.  Has anyone in this group purchased one of the Italian made plates, just wondering how they rate to the Siebenrock. After what I've seen with the stock unit I don't think I'll be going the stock route especially for the money. Weather is starting to warm up nicely here in Tulsa and my bike is in pieces. Cheers!
