Raask rearsets
« on: February 20, 2013, 04:17:09 PM »
I've been working on a 86 K75C project for awhile now and I recently found some Raask reartsets for it but they are missing a few parts and I was just wanting to see if anybody has had any experience with them. I've done a little searching online but I haven't found much info about Raask stuff for BMW's. I'm familiar with them from Honda's but haven't really found anything for Bmw's except some aircooled stuff.

I'm missing the lever that attaches to the shift shaft and I can't tell but I think this set might be meant for a disc brake version of the k75 because the rear brake side doesn't seem like it will work as it currently sits. Here's a couple pictures of what I'm working with.

Left side, you only use the 2 rear mount bolts and it lines up with the tragkorb support

Right side, the rear brake lever rotates the wrong way and moves towards the rear of the bike when pushed. Seems like it would work okay if I flipped the lever but I'm not sure if it will clear everything.

I haven't verified it yet but it seems like the rear drum brake lever has the same splines as the shift shaft so I was thinking I might be able to adapt one of them to work. Any info would be appreciated.

How'd you make out with this project. Just picked up the same set for my '90 K75RT project. Can send pictures/dimensions of your missing shift link. Won't be any help on the brake side though as mine's a disc. Any interest in selling the passenger pegs? My set came without. Take care.
