Anybody done this with a K?

Built-in bead breaker on a GS - go to about 1:25 in this video.

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

That is way cool!

But I hate the idea of being in a parking lot on the road and leaning your bike over and PRESSING DOWN, and assuming that you aren't about to drop your bike. Besides, if I'm in a fix where I need to mount a new tire, I expect I will be around a place that can break the bead and mount the tire. I don't carry spares, and I'm not an Iron Butt Rally kind of guy.

No, never done that.  But there are lots of clever ways to break the bead.  I think the tang on my K's centerstand would be too low to try that.
