BikeMaster 7/8" Heated Grips?
« on: November 15, 2012, 07:38:56 PM »
At $59.00 from Aerostich, I'm not seeing a whole lot of benefit from coughing up the funds for the BMW original, or going through the fuss of rolling my own and sending Duck $90. Not that it's a bad thing to send Duck money...

Will these fit on my 1990 K75?

The handlebars are 22mm - close to 7/8.  The throttle tube is bigger by several millimeters.  Why not contact Aerostich and ask if you can return them if they don't fit?
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

More fun to check with you folk, but I'll give it a try.

Thanks, Duck.

Aerostich says:

1) 22mm is the same as 7/8ths inch
2) They are out of stock until the end of January.

Pretty shoddy sending an e-mail blast and not having enough stock to get through the week.

22mm is NOT the same as 7/8".  Sometimes it matters. sometimes it doesn't.

22mm = 0.86614"

7/8" = 0.875"

It is about one-sixty-fourth of an inch difference, for those decimally challenged.
