I'm looking to do this mod, with the wires through the handlebar. However I can't see any hole in the bar (between the clamps) to fish the wires out of. Is it safe to drill a hole? What diameter would you suggest?

It is safe to drill a hole. Use whatever size that you have handy but allow for the use of a rubber grommet.

Thanks. Drilled a hole 7-8mm and ran the wires. Don't have a grommet, guess I'll use some rubber or cloth tape and jam it in there.
