fuel line disconnects--impressions?

Has anyone installed fuel line disconnects on their brick?

I was considering a set offered by BeemerBoneyard

Seems like i'm frequently needing to get under the tank. Generally I try to avoid the hassle of disconnecting the lines, which means I can only pull the tank back a few inches, and I have to precariously balance the tank on the frame somewhere. It seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

I've used these (http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/product/11368/Motorcycle_Jiffy_Tite_Fuel_Line_Disconnects) on my K1200LT and on my Ural for a couple of years now. Not a drop leaked, even on the Ural, which spends a lot of town bouncing around on dirt roads.

Newer bricks (plastic tank bricks) all have quick disconnects, but they are plastic and crap.  Everyone goes with the metal ones from Beemerboneyard and all is right with the world.

I'm solid with the Duck on this issue.  I can't fathom why one should introduce an extra part that potentially will fail if it in not necessary. I'll be the first to admit I've struggled at times to remove the fuel tank on my R100RS; but, in the final analysis a fuel line with two ends seems far better than a fuel line with four.
