clunk on Clutch Release
« on: August 14, 2012, 12:32:22 PM »
Having done the rear spline lube... but now back on the road i am getting a clunk sometimes when i release the clutch. Is this telling me that i should dive in and do the clutch spline lube right away or is this not that big of deal and can wait until the snow flies? Thanks

Are you having any troubles shifting, problems with downshifting is a prime indicator of clutch spline problems.

If you have the time and space to do it, I'd say go ahead. Better to be ahead of any issues before they become problems. :2thumbup:

dont really have the time to tear into it right now and seems to be shifting fine so i guess ill wait till snow flies... I want to do a lot of things this winter including removing the engine to paint the frame etc.. and checking the clutch and lube is just one more project.  :2thumbup:
