I am retired military, so it is combat boots for me. What they issue the troops now is much better than when I was in. Try a pair of the new style boots. They are lighter and breath better than the old black leather boots.

I would like to try boots made by BMW, but they do not fit me well.

I bought these lovely Doc Martens, but found that with my crazy-low instep, they were non-starters.  I've since moved on to Sidi OnRoad boots.  They're expensive but nice, as I can walk in them without it bringing tears to my eyes.  That's not the case with all moto boots.  There's a fine line between protecting your feet in case of an unplanned dismount and realistic boots, i.e. boots you can walk in.
If you have big feet, you may want to consider my size 12 Doc Martens! They are well made re-pops of the classic design from back in the day.

Do the Aero's or the SIDI come in sizes that will fit a narrow foot?

I wear Sidi Dohas, kind of minimal in the protection department, but way better than any street shoe. They are comfortable on and off the bike, adequately vented, but still warm enough for cool weather (IMHO). They have a flat, stiff sole, and are very grippy on the ground.

My feet are regular width, and the boots fit closely. My Sidi bicycle shoes are certainly narrow, but that's the norm for those.
My perception is that Sidi tends toward narrow, though I've not made a comprehensive comparison.

I think you're correct. I've narrow feet and my Sidi OnRoad boots fit well.
I cannot imagine being happy with a low boot if I'm on my K100RS.  The K-bikes throw off so much heat that a substantial boot that covers the rider's shin seems essential.  I once was riding with a guy who wore rather low cowboy boots when on his K100RT.  After a particularly hot afternoon ride he had blisters on his legs!

I think the Aerostich boots run normal or slightly narrow.  My foot is a little wide, so I ordered 1/2 size bigger and they fit great.

I "stole" some brand new Alpinestar Tech Touring Boots on Fleabay for $75 and they are awesome.  I got them 1/2 size too large so I could comfortably add heated insoles for winter riding.  They are quite comfy and keep my feet totally dry - including a day I rode about 12 straight hours in some pretty heavy rain.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

I am currently wearing a pair of 5.11 tactical swat boots from Gearzonetactical.com
Good boot, comfortable to ride and wear at work too. Just wish they would have lasted a little longer. I suppose if I didn't wear them to work they would last longer for riding.
I think I have had them less than 2 years and I have a spot worn thru the rubber sole to the underneath leather support.

Take them to a Cobbler/Shoe Repair Shop. They can re-sole them for you. I had a pair of Combat boots that I got in Highschool for ROTC. When I got my CB550 I used them so much that the soles wore through to my socks.(LOL) I to them to a shoe repair shop and the put a new (at that time) hard rubber sole on it that was also oil resistant. He even put a patch of leather over the left toe where my shifter was waring a hole in it. I kept them until they fell apart.

I have been useing water proof high top hiking boots but the soles tend to get hungup on the pegs. So I'm checking out shoes/boots also.

These are the nicest boots I've ever worn. Good ankle support, solid build. Very comfortable and durable.

If you're in Europe I'd go Frey Daytona (I think they are hellish expensive in the us though. Other wise aerostich combats or combat lites. Made by sidi I believe so should come up fairly narrow but are lace up anyway.

Sidi's Italian boots made by hand. Have some crazy vent system however I don't get the ventilation I need when riding although could be the heat the K throws at em. They are just below the knee as I wanted protection. After a year I feel some movement in the leather around the ankle not sure what that will do on impact. Sickest looking boots around http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/36/109/ITEM/Sidi-Vertigo-Boots.aspx

And these ones are sicker if you've got the moula http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/36/17321/ITEM/Sidi-Vortice-Boots.aspx

+1 on the Sidis, I really like mine because they have stiff outsoles which is good when you're levering on the pedals. Then when you get off they are still comfortable to walk in.
They do seem to run just a tad bit narrow. I've never really had a problem with heat though.
