Fine Tuning The Side Stand Retractor (K75s and K100s)
« on: July 11, 2012, 12:01:21 PM »
A lot of times the side stand retractor that is actuated by pulling in the clutch lever doesn't retract the side stand far enough so that it's springs retract it all of the way.

The first thing to do is tighten the oddly shaped nut on the retractor rod at the lower left rear of the transmission. (#7 in the attached diagram.)

If tightening that nut all of the way still doesn't make the side stand retract far enough then bend a washer and place it between the #7 nut and the lever it passes through. (See red arrow in diagram.)  That will allow you to adjust it a bit tighter.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
