One of my better packing jobs...
« on: June 05, 2012, 11:36:39 AM »
Went for the last ski trip of the ski season this weekend past to Independence Pass in Colorado. Trip report to follow in The Slide Show, once I get all the pics together.

Hey, just noticed that you are missing the "lowered seat" side covers.  Are you watching ebay for them?  I think I saw some recently.

Hmm... That would be nice - didn't even know they existed (I'm still kind of a noob). Will take a look.

No such thing.  There's a single rubber tank surround instead of battery covers.

The two plastic things on the side of his tank are what hold the sides of the tank surround to the tank.

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Aha... That looks kind kewl. But I'd have to get a new paint job on the tank, and maybe a new front part of my front fender - much sun fade and scruffyness. But that's why she's more of a Chile Red than a Mystic. Kinda ok with scruffy, fits the neighborhood I live in ;)

Right, that's exactly what I meant which I have on my bike and saw on ebay.  I suppose I should have said "the thing that replaces side covers when you have a lowered seat".

But, I can't find it anymore on ebay so it must be gone.

Lookin' at how that thing fits on there - dunno ifn it'd work with my Corbin or not, as it comes up pretty high on the rear of the tank.
