Isle of Man TT race
« on: May 16, 2012, 07:49:53 AM »
Someday, I'm going too jet-set my K ass over to the UK for the Isle of Man race.

Ha, far cry from the namby pamby moto park tracks here in the United States.

Years ago, Watkin's Glen,NY used to host road races on the streets.  Bar at one of the downhill corners still has crash debris embedded in the wall.

Was trying plan to swing by the TT this year as part of a Europe trip, but the logistics are mind boggling and travel to Great Britain is crazy this year due to the Olympics. I'm still going to go there someday, although I like the Northwest 200 even better. That's up in Northern Ireland, on city streets, side by side racing. Those boys have some serious huevos.

Aught 11 vid is one of my favorites. Be sure to watch for the human pin wheel, 1:30 in, scatter a flock of sheep. Think he missed the padded rails.

I was going to go to the TT this year and rent a bike but I decided to buy a Brick instead and drive around the US!

I can't imagine how lame it must feel to those guys on non-race days, riding around doing the posted speed limit.
