k100 radiator on a k75
« on: May 07, 2012, 12:46:02 PM »
Howdy guys, I will be trying to get my radiator cowl/trim installed this week hopefully...  The PO replaced the radiator on my bike, he ordered it and received a k100 radiator, which was not returnable.  So he installed it.  He couldn't get the radiator cowl to fit back on, (I think the k100 Rad is a bit wider?).  He had made a spacer/standoff, but couldn't get it right, so he just left it off.

Has anyone ever tried such a thing, or would it be easiest to try and find a k100 shroud/cowl?

It'll be a heck of a lot easier to find a K75 radiator and shroud then it will be to be to find a K100 shroud as there were A LOT more K75s and K75Cs sold than K100s so there's very few K100 shrouds around.  A K75 shroud will also fit to the front bottom of your K75 tank better.

Thanks (franken)Duck :neener:!

I will see if I can figure something out "to make it work".

When I was initially looking, I can see where the PO could make that mistake, as a lot of the ebay radiators say that they are for k75 & k100's.

It will be easier when I have the shroud/cowl in hand, since it wasn't on the bike when I got, I forgot it.  I will get it picked up this week and report what I find.

I think the k100 rad is a bit wider.  I have the old radiator, I will compare them.
