Inner bearing on Paralever
« on: April 17, 2012, 02:39:44 PM »
I have just removed the Final drive from the swingarm in preparation of a spline lube. Just noticed that on the inner bearing (the one fitted to the 12mm hex bolt on the inside of the swing arm) has one of the rollers missing. There's no sign of any damage or debris and all the other rollers look like new. How serious is this - is it a must replace item or will it last another 40K miles no problem. I have never had to replace a bearing before so new territory for me if I have to do this. Thanks in advance for some advice from the collective.

I'd replace it. You could possibly swap to bushings, from rubber-chicken racing.
