I'd gone to Albuquerque the day before to take my tax stuf to the acct., thinking I'd get back that night, but mother nature had other planz as she so often does. Wife called in the early evening to say that the "driveway" was mudd soupp, so I stayed witha friend in Santa Fe, and decided ti hit the High Road to allow a bit more time for ye mudd to dry out. I hadn't been on it in several years, and never on a motorcycle. All I can say is Whooeee!! If I don't have to get there fast, this is how I'm ALWAYS gonna ride to Santa Fe!
OK, so don't laugh too hard, but this is my first attempt at video-while-riding. (and my first attempt to embed a video in a post) You'll prolly find my riding style the most amusing part :oldguy: I mounted a flipcam to the right windscreen strut. Need to make a little open cell foam cap for it to cut down on wind noise. Towards the end, it would seem that the camera was rattling against the windscreen - gotta improve the mount job.
First time with vimeo - thought the vid quality was gonna be better. Oh well, guess you gotta PAY for that.
Woulda taken more pics, but was too busy RIDIN'!
Lots of little farming villages, each with it's old adobe Iglesia.

Subsistence farming is still the main occupation here in these hills. The folks don't see any need to change something that has worked quite well for generations.
Irrigation ditch flume near Trampas.

Another crappy day in the mountains.
