vintage poly synth
« on: March 08, 2012, 09:55:11 AM »
Acquired a vintage Elkatwin 61 poly synth yesterday cheap from Craig's list.

Truly collectible, experts claim the string section and totally wild phase shifter was the best that there was for its time frame.  Amazingly enough,a few bands still use the damn thing,

It does play but has weak output. Plan is to tear it apart clean up the connections with DeOxit, see what happens next.

Way cool, a blast from the past. My first synth was a mini moog.  Ha, this Elka brings back fond memories of Emerson,Lake and Palmer circa 1967.
