German Dolmar

This is just insane – a motorcycle with 24 German Dolmar chainsaw engines! Each of these high-performance air-cooled 79 cc units generates 4.6 kW of power (6.3 PS) at 9500 rpm. Apparently someone or some group/company called “Norther-German Comic Star” created this monstrosity.

I wonder if you have to use 24 pull starters to get the thing going.
Not to mention 24 rounds of cursing and playing with choke settings to get each one running, sounds like fun.
Good arm excercise, I guess.

I was behind a 2 stroke Yamy triple with a group last summer.  Told him to get his ass behind me and stay there!

In Japan, you can still buy "modern day" two strokes that are NOT smokey. Torquey little bastards,light,FUN, almost too quick.

I owned a Kawi Mach III 500 triple back in 1970. Holy ch1t, talk about power delivery,FAST, felt like a swarm of wild bumblebee's when you whacked the throttle. Only problem was cornering, miracle I never wrecked it,unlike my best friend.

Where I worked when the Mach 111 first came out we had 5 out of the first six come back for repairs within 2 weeks of delivery all had been flipped backwards.  If ever there was a mongrel thing to ride it was those things.

In time & space, the Mach III was considered a super-bike.

I helped restore a Kawi KZ 1000 last year,another classic rice burner.

Don't be surprised if 2-strokes reappear in the US someday. There are companies working on technology like the OPOC engine that could be a real game changer.
