He's averaged about 6 miles per day since he owned it. So a 100 mile day must feel like a BunBurner Gold to him!

Reminds me of the time I was riding in the mountains and the State Troopers were pulling over riders checking helmets for DOT stickers. Some guy was pulled off next to me riding a shiny Victory Vision behemoth. So to make conversation, I asked him if he had been on any long rides so far with his big tourer. He said "Yeah man... I did 350 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway".  I said "Cool. So you must have started around 7 or 8 AM today then?" He looked at me like I was crazy. He said "No - I left Wednesday...."    It was Sunday at 3 PM.  :hmm:

That is a good deal. Barely broken in with 27k miles. You could ride that thing for 3 years, put another 45K or more on it and probably still sell it for $3500.  Surely there has to be some way to find some room in the garage. I assume you're already  parking your cars outside and the full garage means just bikes and tools?     :lol:

I was talking to a guy yesterday at the top of Palomar who was riding a K1600.  I asked him how many miles he had on it.  He said about 900km (Canadian guy from Sasketoon.)  I asked him if he bought it yesterday.  Nope, August.   He'd trailered it down here from Canada.

We used to fit two cars in the garage.  Actually, two cars and one bike.  Then the wife started storing crap in there so my car moved out.  Second bike going in was payback.  Got a baby coming soon, so it's pretty hard to justify 3 bikes when I probably only average 5K each or less on the two I have.

If I really thought I could sell this one or the K75 quickly, I would think about it.

What if you need to run out and get baby formula one night and the K75 is dismantled for a spline lube and the other bike is plugged into a battery tender? You want that baby to go hungry just because you don't have a third bike? And if you're in a hurry to get baby food you wanna run out in some little 3-cylinder brick when you can bust it open in a 1100 cc 4 cylinder? Man, I'm trying to help you here...  :giggles

Almost worth buying and bringing back to Oz or keep it there and do some summer touring in US and Canada. In Oz you would pay $6500-$7000.

Well if you want to buy it, I'm sure I can find room to store it for a little while.  And, of course, you would want it taken out and exercised now and then.  You know, so the gas doesn't go bad. :deal:
