First ride in 2012
« on: February 24, 2012, 11:40:36 PM »
It got over 40º in Taos today, which aligned with the first day this year that I wasn't skiing or engaged in some other utterly necessary obligation, so I fired up ol' Chile Red and went to town and back. Felt GOOD, alright. Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer, so I just might go for a REAL ride - Oh Yeah!

I had a K75 once....
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Yeh, nothin' like gettin' out on th' K again. I mean, I live for skiing and all that, but I've been jonesin' for the feel of the wheels leaning through some curves. Like I said, mebbe I'll seek out some twisted-ness on the morrow...
Hafta see if in my tech-tardedness I can get me an uberprint shirt with my very own Chile Red on th' back..

Living in Taos you really need to make a ski rack for your K.....

Best of all worlds on a need for speed day...

Got after it again yesterday, and it was Goooooood! Woulda went for a longer run, but the wind was cranking'. FD, that RideOn stuf is Da Chit! NO more un-iree vibes! Got it up to a buck 20, and prolly coulda wrung more out of her, but for wind and unfortunate cage placement on road in front of me. Think I'll try the "bottles and tubing" method of injector balancing and see if that improves things any. And yeah JO, I'd actually be just as happy with th' K100 on the shirt, wuz just thinkin' out loud. Wheeeee! Supposed to be 50 tomorrow!

Definitely jealous, Dude.  I got out last week and its sunny and warmer here in W. Mass today but there's 8" of snow on the driveway with some ice underneath  :loco: so I took out my no-wax and toured around fields and trails outside me door.  Not too bad - but not ridin' either... :hmm:

Yah, spring is knockin' at th' door here in NM. Might be the best time of year, other than deep, Powder Day Winter, 'cos you can do Brickin' and Skiing both, sometimes even on the same day. Supposed to get up close to 60º on Tuesday, some I'm definitely going somewhere on Chile Red. Seriously considering Duck's ski rack design, but I know there will be longer excursions where I'll need to use the luggage rack for other things, like musical instruments or camping gear. Might have to bungee skis crossways on top o the whole load. :hmm:

Gusty wind blasts here locally this morning. I bowed out,as recycling chores were a calling.

Yesterday was OK, tripped on down south to Pittsburgh, lovely tailwind homeward bound.
