so we roll out of tracy ca for the sierras... we stay on the 120 to jamestown... we pick up seco to algerine to wards ferry rd... we had heard of the grafitti bridge and the danger getting there... so we had to go...

algerine rd...

the hamburger country of algerine rd quickly becomes goat country...

the goat takes us to a ridge way high over the tuolumne iver... im talking way high and sheer with no guard rails... this is my kinda goat...

the bridge made famous by pashnit.com...

we were greeted by this little guy...

rolling up the hill...

we roll into groveland and m o is wanting some coffee... we stop at the cross roads cafe... a little soup and sandwich place and score coffee and rhubarb pie...

gotta keep pushing on... yosemite heading to the valley floor... the good stuff is sill closed so the valley floor it is...

wow... look at that... windy as a moe... chilly as a willy... but the sky is blue and as clear as i have seen it up there...

the trees up high are sill frozen solid...

the mighty merced river...

the tunnel... once...

the tunnel... twice...

the tunnel thrice...

the tunnel view...

the valley floor... water galore...

outta there... rolling the 140 to happy burger... i mean mariposa...

happy burger... our normal stop... the folks are wonderful and the burgers are good...

now to the little dragon via a rural loop or too...

m o didnt take any photos of what they have done to the road... its a mess... last year when we rode through there and they had tar snaked the surface and hit the tar with chip seal rock... now it looks like they put something on top of that... fine white sand... and on top of the white sand they hit it with dirt... wow what a mess... most of it was dirty with fine white sand or just dirt or both...

this is what the road surface should be... and it is... in places... but the tar sand dirt is just a head...

thats all...
