rolling 2 up out of tulare ca to the big trees of sequoia national park...
i was telling m o about my 1 up to mineral king... so this time we rolled up as far as we could go...
a blue neck lizzy comes out to see the bugeye motobrick...
the world famous generals highway... smooth and clean and not much traffic for such a beauty of a day in the central valley of the fruits and the nuts...
so i see a snake in the road all stretched out sunning himself... im thinking i got to turn back and get him off the road before he gets wacked... so i pull a fast u turn and pull along side the snake... and out of nowhere a highfalutin asshole in a black range rover wacks him...
cant kneecap every asshole out there... so we be rolling to the big trees...
this place was flowing like a moe roday...
kings canyon overlook...
we rolled to hume lake to filler er up with ethyl but settled for 87 octane... on the way in we noticed the gate to kings canyon was open... humm...
high above the valley floor in the western sierras......
and with eastern sierras in the no so distance distance...
looking down from 6,000 feet to the road to kings canyon... we can see the old lodge with the gravity gas pumps... humm...
yeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...
so we roll right thinking the road is open but the closed signs have not been taken down yet...
the 10 mile waterfall...
just past the lodge the road was gated closed... the authority folks said lotts o snow and debris on the road... thought it would be open to the roads end next week...
kings canyon... one of our favorite places... just gonna have to wait a while longer...
rolled to the 245 down to the
mountain house
for a burger...
wood cooler...
m o gotts a buddy...
there burgers were good... really good... and the folks were the best ever...
dry creek road...
the orange blossoms where fully odoriferous... wow were they sweet... like this 12 hour ride...
there you go...
