K75s Tire recommend
« on: July 08, 2026, 01:38:52 PM »
Hey Group,

Can anyone suggest tire options that they like for 93 k75s? Currently have Metzeler lasertec, need to replace, but dang ..the price.

Any good options? Also, anyone have opinion about bias ply vs radial??

Thanks

Truth be told, your only real options are what is available. Unfortunately our choices are getting fewer every year, especially if you are looking for radials.
Average prices are going to be in the range of $200 each.
Radial may give a slightly smoother ride if you don't have your bike packed down for a trip, but they generally have a lower weight rating than the bias ply's so keep that in mind as you choose.
I'm in the process of looking for tires for my LT, so far I've only found 1 option for radials and 3 or 4 options in bias ply.
YMMV

My K75 is wearing Shinko 712's back and front, and I like them a lot.

I have Conti RoadAttack 3 on my '87. (Soon to mount Conti SportAttack 5 on my MV to replace the 4s.) Rode to Vermont and back to that goofy rally on the 3s with excellent performance, traction-wise and wear. The stability was spot on. But, also, they are pricey.

Select Motobrick Workshop at the top of the page. Type in Dunlop 404; there are a few comments.

FWIW: This year, I've started migrating the Bridgestone BT46 for all of my bikes... I recently installed one on the rear of the K75 paired with a Bridgestone S11 that I installed on the front in 2022.  They are 'relatively' inexpensive and handle/grip well.  I can't speak to wear at the moment, but I was getting tired :laughing1: of the Avon Roadriders wearing quickly on the rear.
