New owner from Houston Texas
« on: June 28, 2026, 04:36:17 AM »
Hi everyone!

Long time Bimmer owner just recently a Beamer owner.
Always admired the bricks but because I do stupid stuff on mountain bikes I was afraid to get into motorcycles.

Now I'm too old to care and don't want to miss out so picked up a poorly converted cafe racer k75.  Looking to find my talent on two wheels before trading it in for a nicer k75.  A low seat version if anyone local has one.  See you guys/gals out there!

Welcome to the site, Uturn!

There are downloadable BMW workshop manuals and rider handbooks for the K75 in the Technical Directory-Workshop Manual section of this site.

Welcome!  The K75 is definitely the best machine BMW ever made.  Good choice.

Welcome to the K bike life.

Don't be surprised if BMW riders, specifically current year GS riders, approach you to ask if it’s a BMW. Believe it or not, I had a handful of GS riders say they had never seen or heard of the K series. I slapped myself on the forehead, packed up, and left the Vermont rally after only half a day.

Welcome on board ! As a fellow K75 owner, I know you're going to enjoy it once it's up and running the way you like it.

I'm always curious about badly made cafe racers and the horrors that emerge from other people's garages which they think are super cool.....do you have any photos?
