rear brake light constant flashing

1994 K75, rear brake light problem.  The middle light stays on constantly and does not increase in intensity if brake lever is activated.  The two outer lights flash constantly.  I believe that is only supposed to happen upon brake lever activation.  The light on the instrument cluster goes off properly after front and rear brake activation.  Blinkers work correctly.

I think I solved this.  It turns out that the rear brake light was flashing because the sensor at the rear brake pedal was not functioning.  Therefore, the system thought the rear brake pedal was activated and that's why the rear brake light was flashing constantly.

. . . the sensor at the rear brake pedal . . .
Are you referring to the rear brake switch?

Yes.  I replaced the brake cylinder last year and the set screw / nut combination backed out to the point that this switch was not activated when the brake pedal was not depressed.  I came up with a solution that hopefully will work.
