Im Jayjay from the Netherlands / now in Australia and this is my bike as I bought it in 2021 and how its now, except that I mounted a GSXR black front fender. It is a BMW K100 RT from 1986 so turning forty this year. It was fabricated in the UK and later shipped to Germany. Im currently working on the wiring and locating a battery and mototronic below the tank. The airbox is made from foamboard just to mock up and see if I can get everything under there. Bit tight. Coils would be mounted on the rear of that box, so facing backwards under the tank. The MAF sensor will get its own bracket on those 2 points on the frame front side, and will also add an overflow tank there to hide it a bit. Im doing the wiring with an M unit which is mounted under the tank on a plate.
I changed the front fork for a GSXR K8 fork and a GSXR750 front wheel. I used a rear wheel from an K1100. I removed a bit of the frame and changed the exhaust for a bit shorter one. The tank is still original color except the fuel cap. Im not sure which color, I m thinking very dark grey or black matte with maybe white letters. The box for the battery, next to the aluminum radiator (From china) will also be bare aluminum, so a darker color would suit.
