Replace that relic with a frame-mounted reservoir that won't degrade from sunlight. The new style is held by a frame-mounted bracket behind the right-side battery cover away from sunlight. You'll either find a bracket, fabricate a bracket or zip-tie it securely into place. The reservoir and hose in the photo is now being offered at beemerboneyard. There are similar designs elsewhere. The cap should come with a rubber bellows that extends into the reservoir, like your old one had.

The newer style reservoir does not mount to the frame. It mounts to the relay box.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Ok sooo I need the whole shebang anyway…Does the rear cylinder differ in compatibility? It is stamped 13mm and is beyond repair. 1985…to what year? TIA ..also the bike has no switches, not even a hazard!

That's the case if the original style holder can be obtained and certainly would make installation easier. 112350

Go to this epic thread started by Young Engineer to read about a successful cheap Chinese substitute for that master cylinder at a fraction of the price of OEM that several members here are using. Mighty Gryphon and others discuss in detail how it is accomplished.

Thanks Laitch…I forgot that mod! I’m attempting it now…
Ok fellas , I have acquired a hazard switch, if anyone knows what wires to tap into it would be greatly appreciated. This an ‘85 and I do not see a service clip… Also…MOTOBINS UK has an aftermarket heated grip kit $ 130. Anyone have success with this Item?  Otherwise $200 plus switch for BMW
