Front crank seal
« on: September 23, 2025, 05:20:57 AM »
I’m replacing the front crank seal since I’m powder coating the engine covers, does anyone have any experience with replacing the new style Teflon crank seals. I’ve seen that they can fold outwards when installing causing a leak and that there’s a special conical tool used to do it correctly.

Any idea on how I can fit this correctly and where I could find said tool if it’s needed?

Do you mean the seal in the crankcase cover that sits over the crankshaft, part number 2 as shown in the picture

For the tool you could look for a crank/camshaft seal tool kit thats as far as i know its literal name
