Hi I really hope someone can help as struggling here.
Installed the Tenet and the tachometer & Speedo in one unit reads 4th Gear while I Neutral. The bike won't start either. Model is 95 1100 LT.

So I then replaced the factory dashboard which worked perfectly however same issue is now showing here - 4th gear and won't start.
This is driving me insane and spent over 10 hours trying to fix.

Last night I disconnected the clutch switch plug under the tank and looped the circuit. Bike started though wrong gear still showing and tachometer not working properly.

Please can someone help this makes no sense at all? It was all perfect before.

Did you do anything else to the bike or did you solely replace the lunchbox?
Also how did you wire it
A picture of the new meter and wiring would help.
Meanwhile start checking fuses

Sometimes, you need to back your way out completely and start over. If you haven't reviewed it yet, here is Motobrick's mammoth Tenet thread.

Hi thank you both for replying.

No I literally took the box out of the wrapping and plugged in. This sounds very odd as 2 things a miss:
1) bike won't start though if I disconnect the clutch safety switch under the tank and loop the male plug with wire, the bike starts ok

2) gear selector shows 4th and no N visible in neutral or anywhere else

Supplier suggested I may have installed upside down. No instructions were supplied and it fits both ways. I cannot genuinely recall if I did or did not! Absolutely no instructions or warning.

Original box fitted back and also has the above issues exactly with no N and fourth gear and no start.

I just cannot imagine what is amiss
