RT or Standard, Opal Green or Anthracite Metallic Gray?
« on: June 03, 2025, 04:16:08 PM »
For my latest Brick acquisition, VIN WB105140XG0053944, did it leave the factory as an RT, or a Standard? Also was it's color gray or green, if it was 617?
Frame stamped VIN and Factory Paint Code picture attached.

My new tip for highlighting the frame stamped VIN, is to clean with brake cleaner or acetone. Then take a gray/silver Sharpie, and scribble over the stampings. Next take a paper towel with some acetone on it, and lightly rub over the area. The silver on the surface gets wiped off, but down in the "valleys" it stays to make more readable.

Wasn't sure if this should post in custom, standard, or here in the Workshop?

Factory: 617 = Diamant Grau (Diamond Gray)

617 is a paint scheme code
The paint color code is 186

RT built in 11/85 which means it's a model year 1986
