Stripped alternator mounting bolt
« on: May 19, 2025, 04:48:50 PM »
Postiing this in case someone needs it.

Someone asked me how to deal with an alternator mounting bolt with a stripped head. This has happened to me before and a 13mm Irwin Bolt Grip socket worked great to get the bolt out:

Irwin: 394002: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000QW6K8I

Note that Irwin is a name brand. There are more generic brands that cost less, have more sizes and come with a case.

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
