You can get o-rings, filters and pintle caps at the auto parts store.  Also, you can get carb cleaner, too.

Then you need one of these kits to allow shooting the cleaner through the injector.

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Hi, The Mighty Gryphom, i found on Amazon.ca the testers are around $50. Canadian. Don't know which to get. Couldn't find your suggestion. Will keep looking.
frankenduck i did come across that company in my search. Trying to get recommendations from people that have used a service and are happy with the results.
Was also searching Motobrick.com about doing it myself as suggested by The Mighty Gryphom.

If you're looking for references of people who have used various Canadian FI companies then Google this:

I have had good luck with the plastic adapters that connect the injector to a can of carb cleaner along with a wire to connect the injector to a battery to open it.  On one occasion I needed to cycle the injector to bust the pintle loose. I had to use an old transformer to put 60 cycles on the injector to shake the pintle loose and get the cleaner flowing through it.

The tester with this kit has a cycle function for vibrating the pintle to shake the junk out.  The kit looks like it has everything but the carb cleaner and the seller claims to ship to the Great White North.

Possibly you can get something like it at Canadian Tire.

My set is a lot older and only has some wires and the adapters to connect the spray can to the injector and power the injector open.  What is nice about this one is that the control lets you apply single or multiple pulses to open the injector to let the cleaner run through it.  For bad injectors you need to shoot continuous  pulses to vibrate the pintle open.

With my old setup, I had to use an old doorbell transformer with a diode to make the continuous pulses.  I have seen videos on YouTube where the pulses were made by dragging a wire across an old file or saw blade.  The box with this kit does that for you.

Once I got some cleaner flowing through I set the injector aside for 10-15 minutes to soak before pulsing it again and doing a flush with a shot of cleaner.  Repeat a few times until the pulses give a good stream out of the injector.  It isn't really rocket surgery.  There are lots of videos on the internet to show how its done.

When they are all done, I put them in a ZipLoc bag until I needed them.

One note:  A reviewer said that they had some problems with the spray adapters working with some carb cleaner cans and posted a photo of one that worked for him.

You will need rebuild kits for the injectors with o-rings, filters, and pintle caps.  You should be able to get them at an auto parts store, or online from Amazon or eBay.

I cleaned up the outside with steel wool before cleaning the internals.  After cleaning them out with carb cleaner I wipe them down with rubbing alcohol and give them a shot of black engine enamel on the metal part to make them look pretty.  Then I just put them in the bag and closed it.

You might want to give the terminals a shot of Deoxit to clean them up a bit depending on how they look.

No need to lube the o-rings to put them on the injector, but a little oil or grease will help when you install the injector on the engine.

Hi, The Mighty Gryphon will test clean my spare injectors.  Next go to Carquest and get the o-rings etc to rebuild the set in the bike.
Thanks for all the help. Larry
