1994 K75 not ridden since 2005 - opinions, advice?
« on: July 19, 2024, 08:13:12 PM »
Hi, near me, there is a K75 with 42k km available for 1800€. The catch is, it hasn’t been ridden since 2005. 1st owner, no crashes. It was kept in a garage and dry, and is optically impeccable.
Before setting up a meeting with the owner, i thought i’d ask for some advice on what you think of the price, what is should look out for when i inspect it, if it’s even worth trying to revive it. Thanks!

Hopefully the gas was drained before it was stored.  If not don't try to start it until the tank is cleaned out and rubber parts inspected and replaces.  For a non runner that price is pretty steep, if they can get it running it's probably worth that much, but keep in mind tires need replaced, brakes may be corroded, battery dead, all sorts of rubber bits may have disintegrated and all the usual old bike stuff.
